An Escort's Guide to... Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is surely one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Britain, not least because it’s a great and convenient spot for getting to the most popular areas where London escorts live and work. At one time was considered to be the exact centre of London, because the original Charing Cross railway station, on the south side of the square, was where the Strand met Whitehall, meaning that the square was halfway between the Whitehall area and the City of Westminster – ideally located for politicians and civil servants who needed to nip out of work and spend some quality time with girls from their favourite London escort agencies. Today, Trafalgar Square is still regarded as being the heart of London by a lot of Londoners and nearly all escort girls, and it is certainly a popular site for demonstrations and public protests of political causes. However, the numbers of both pigeons and demonstrators have been dramatically reduced in recent years due to attempts by the London authorities to keep the the square cleaner and the crowds less chaotic. Thankfully, the numbers of sexy blonde, brunette and redhead busty escorts have only been increasing!
Nelson’s Column, of course, with its four stone lions, is one of the UK’s most famous monuments – and why shouldn’t we honour a man who did so much for the world of escorting? His favourite callgirl, Emma Hamilton, is remembered by London escorts to this day. The large plinths in three of the corners of the square hold statues that commemorate, respectively, King George IV, Henry Havelock and Charles James Napier. The fourth plinth, in the northwest corner, is particularly interesting. What statue should occupy the plinth was long debated, until the ‘Fourth Plinth Project’ put forward a proposal which would make the plinth into the home of some of the most famous and controversial art exhibitions in the UK.
Instead of filling the fourth plinth with a historical statue, the plinth has been used to showcase a rotating collection of public art works, including Rachel Whiteread’s Monument, Marc Quinn’s Alison Lapper Pregnant, and at present, Thomas Schutte’s Hotel for the Birds. Unfortunately, nobody has yet decided to put a statue of any of London’s fantastically sexy escort girls there. Write to Ken Livingstone and ask him to put this right! Whatever occupies the fourth plinth, no visit to London is complete without a visit to Trafalgar Square.
